WHERE TO MEET, LODGING:

Morning meeting location/time: **UPDATE: Meet at Beaver Creek trailhead located at Boat Mooring #1 in the park (3161 Rosstown Road, Wellsville, PA 17365). Same place as last year. There is a restroom at this parking lot. We will be shuttling volunteers to the main work site area off Squire Gratz Road (limited parking here).
Camping location: Gifford Pinchot State Park Organized Group Tenting Area, sites A & B (updated), 800 E Camping Area Rd, Wellsville, PA 17365 (40.06207, -76.90221), York County. About 30 minutes north of York and south of Camp Hill.

Lodging/Camping amenities: We have arranged for free camping for volunteers at the GPSP Organized Group Tenting Area sites A & B (encircled in red on map above). Someone will be at the campground by 7 pm to assist you upon arrival Friday night if needed. Modern flush toilets and showers are available at the restroom nearest Site G. Picnic tables and a fire ring are available, but no electricity except in the restroom (shared with neighboring campers). You are welcome to reserve a campground site at the prevailing rates for your own camper, and they also have yurts and cottages.

Food/Drink: Generally, bring your own food, drink, and cooking supplies if camping. The Friends of Pinchot State Park will be providing a bagged lunch for volunteers on Saturday (sign up by 10/2 for guaranteed lunch!) Please list any allergies or dietary restrictions on sign-up.

Description of work: We will continue work on puncheons from last year, as well as work on a small bridge. We work alongside Friends of Pinchot State Park as well as Mason Dixon Trail volunteers. We may carpool to trail locations; please let me know if you are not comfortable riding with others or driving on gravel forestry roads. From the meeting site, drive times should be in the 5-10 minute range.
