Some FAQs:
Q: Does the chainsaw training include certification?
A: No. This is not chainsaw certification for work on the A.T., but is similar to that required by Pennsylvania Parks and Forest Foundation for their volunteers. Chainsaw safety training is not just for saw operators; swampers and any trail volunteer working near a sawyer will receive vital information on safety, communication, etc.
Q: Can I share a room with another participant?
A: Certainly! The event is capped at 14 people due to the number of rooms (to ensure single-occupancy if desired), and per instructors' preferred class sizes. But you may share a room if you'd like.
