KTA's Lehigh Gap A.T. Section Group Workdays

KTA will hold a work day on its section of the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) in the Lehigh Valley on Saturday, June 13, beginning at 8:30 am. We'll work on several maintenance projects, including some work to repair damage caused by the recent brush fire on Blue Mountain just west of Lehigh Gap. We'll send an email to the registrants with more information on the projects closer to the work day. We expect to work through mid afternoon. Bring water, lunch and snacks. Wear work clothes and dress appropriately for the forecast weather. We will supply tools, but bring gloves, a shovel, loppers and a hand saw if you have them.
The meeting place will be the Lehigh Gap East parking lot, located just east of Lehigh Gap off PA Route 248 (Lehigh Drive); GPS coordinates 40.782056, -75.603000. HERE is a link to a Google Map of the location.

KTA will hold a special workday on Saturday, June 27 starting at 8:30 am. We will start to install a new sign kiosk at the Little Gap parking area. Ryan Wasser will lead the workday. Ryan has fabricated the kiosk at his home. Attendees will help Ryan to unload the materials, dig the holes and set the posts. Please wear work clothes that you are OK getting dirty and bring work gloves. Bring snacks and water. If you have any of the following tools, please bring them: shovel, pick, digging iron, post hole digger. Some heavy lifting will be involved.
