Please join us as we celebrate the 2024 KTA Trail Care Season and our awesome volunteers! You rock! All 2024 volunteers are invited; an email will be forthcoming. Awards will be handed out to volunteers who helped at 3-4 events (those attending get first choice of rewards), 5 or more events, and those who contributed 40 hours; all during the 18 regular 2024 TC events. If you can't make it, we'll contact you to make arrangements to get you your bling.

If you are looking for something to do before our volunteer celebration, Al Germann will be hosting a hike at the Mocanaqua Tract of Pinchot State Forest -- about 50 minutes from Danville. Some information about the area can be found here. If you plan on joining, please email Al at [email protected] to RSVP so we have an idea of how many folks to expect. Heavy/steady rain will cancel this hike, so RSVP to be kept in the loop!
Meet at the parking area (Google maps link) at 9:00 A.M. for an approximately 5-mile hike with great vistas of the North Branch Susquehanna River, cool rocks, and historic industrial ruins. This hike will be moderate in difficulty, with some short, steep sections. Bring water, some snacks, and anything else you'd bring for a day hike. Time permitting, we can also check out Little Shickshinny falls across the river, before heading to Rock God Brewing.

There is limited parking at Rock God Brewing (see photo above), plus, you can park around back by Jenn's truck if you want.
Parking options are encircled in purple: in front of RGBC (marked by the red pin), across the street in a small lot, and in a large municipal lot to the north (no need to feed the meters on the weekends).
