Step 2
Hit the trails! Hike 100 miles.
Keep track of your mileage by using our simple hiking log. Download a PDF or Word file.
Remember, the 100 Mile Trail Challenge must be completed between September 1st and August 31st!
You can hike any trail in PA! You’re welcome to hike on any trail that fits within your comfort and experience level, including township, private, unblazed trails, multi-use trails, etc. Learn about major hiking trails on our website, check with your local hiking club to hike with a group, or use resources like AllTrails or DCNR to find trails and plan your hikes.
You can make the 100 Mile Trail Challenge your own by incorporating a personal goal! This could be anything from hiking 10 trails with waterfalls, reaching a cumulative elevation goal, trying 6 new trails in 6 state parks, or hiking each of your 100 miles with a hiking club!
If you share photos of your hikes on social media, use #100miletrailchallenge and tag KTA with @keystonetrails

Step 3
Collect your donations! Support KTA’s mission.
Check or cash: Your supporters can submit their donations by cash or check (sent to KTA’s office with this form). Online (new for this year!): You can set up a free fundraiser page so your supporters can give online! After your page is set up, you can easily share the link with anyone via email, social media, or text message so your friends/family/connections can donate with a credit or debit card. |

Step 5
You’ve got this! Finish strong.
Whether you complete your 100 miles in one weekend or one year, we’re grateful for your support and participation! It is awesome to see hikers challenging themselves, exploring PA's diverse landscape and contributing to the health and longevity of PA's trails. We're looking forward to hearing about your journey!
Closer to the end of the challenge timeframe, we'll remind you of the instructions for submitting your hiking and sponsor logs. If you finish before the deadline, feel free to submit them early (instructions are on the log sheets) or keep hiking!
Good luck, stay safe, and happy trails!
