The KTA fall hiking weekend will be based out of the Rhodes Grove Camp and Conference Center that was founded in 1917, situated on 35 acres surrounded by the beautiful farmland of the Cumberland Valley just south of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The Grove is a great place of retreat where the fun never stops! Our activities are exciting, food is fantastic.  The main conference building contains our dining services, hotel-style rooms, office suite, and multiple meeting rooms, all under one roof! This modern facility also contains a favorite spot for guests – our main reception lobby with comfy couches, a stone fireplace, and easy access to all locations in the building.
Hikes during the weekend will primarily be centered around two nearby state parks: Caledonia and Cowans Gap.  Caledonia State Park in intersected by the Appalachian Trail and Cowans Gap by both the Tuscarora and Standing stone Trails.

Caledonia State Park is a 1,125-acre State Park is in Adams and Franklin counties, midway between Chambersburg and Gettysburg along the Lincoln Highway, US 30.The park is nestled within South Mountain, the northern terminus of the well-known Blue Ridge Mountain of Maryland and Virginia. Within South Mountain there are four state parks and 84,000 acres of state forest land waiting to be explored and enjoyed. The soils on either side of South Mountain are ideal for fruit production, proven by the abundance of orchards in the surrounding area.

Cowans Gap State Park is a 1,085-acre park in the beautiful Allens Valley of Fulton County. A 42-acre lake, large campground, rustic cabins, and many hiking trails are prime attractions. Buchanan State Forest surrounds the park, providing additional options for recreation and natural beauty in all seasons.
