Allegheny River overnight canoe/camping trip with KTA
May 22-23, 2021
This journey takes you 31 miles, from Warren, PA to West Hickory, PA on the scenic Allegheny River. Paddlers will start in historic downtown Warren, encounter all seven of the federally protected Wilderness Islands, large swaths of the Allegheny National Forest and float past the town of Tidioute, pop. 800. Ducks and geese mingle in parks along the riverbank. White-tailed deer hide in the brush while Great Blue Herons wade near the shore looking for fish, frogs and other small prey.
Our overnight camping adventure, featuring professional and knowledgeable guides, include all paddling equipment, and are suitable for novice and experienced paddlers alike! Get out and enjoy a new trail experience the way it was meant to be experienced – in nature! KTAs’ canoe tours offer a rich experience, friendly instruction, and a whole lot of fun.
Participants must bring their own camping equipment, bedding, snacks, clothes and personal items. Food and drinks for dinner and breakfast are provided.
