Allegheny National Forest

August 9th-11th 2019

It’s time to leave the city behind and get back to nature.
This part of Pennsylvania is trail central and the trails provide vistas, pass through rock outcroppings, open hardwoods, old growth forests and stands of hemlock.  Hikes with waterfalls or cascades and abundant wildlife are everywhere around you.
During our weekend hiking adventure we’ll be staying at the Olmsted Manor, Ludlow, PA in the heart of the National Forest.  Olmsted Manor provides elegance, relaxation, and comfort in an exquisite setting.

Built in 1917, Olmsted Manor has been featured in many national magazines. The Manor House is the original home of the George and Iva Olmsted family. The construction of the manor was completed in 1917. The Tudor-style mansion retains the original architectural details, the unique charm of the individual bedrooms, and an air of faded elegance throughout.
