Gather Trail Data
Since the Keystone Trails Association and land managers can’t be everywhere in the backcountry, we rely on hikers to tell us what you see on the trail. Gather trail data while you are hiking and help us build a strong case to support trail protection.

Report Gas Drilling Impacts on Pennsylvania Trail Experiences

The Keystone Trails Association and FracTracker.org have launched a new Trail Logbook to collect information from hikers who have had negative or hazardous encounters on hiking trails due to natural gas drilling activity.

Trail Log Book
Please complete the simple-to-use Trail Logbook to share your data, photos, maps and information related to the issues with the Marcellus Shale gas industry. We will aggregate the information gathered to help clarify the impact of the gas industry on hiking trails.

To submit photos, please email them as attachments along with descriptions to info@kta-hike.org. Please include as much information about your photo as possible, including whether you would like to be credited as the photographer or not. All photos will be loaded by the Logbook team into a publicly-available online photo album. By submitting your photos, you grant the Keystone Trails Association and FracTracker the right to reuse them with credit to the photographer.
