Let's take this show on the road!

Picture
Plan to come out and meet Jenn and Al and other interesting trail maintenance folks during KTA’s Trail Care Roadshow! During March, you’ll have 3 opportunities to find out, in person, what trail maintenance is really like, what to expect, and how easy it can be to get involved and make an impact. We’ll have brochures, handouts, and other first-hand information, as well as some giveaways. If you've volunteered before, we'd love to have you on hand to share some stories and why you love Trail Care!

Picture
#1: Friday, March 14, 2025, 4-8 pm
Lindgren Craft Brewery
5 North Market Street
Duncannon, PA 17020 (Google maps link)

One of Lindgren's co-founders, Mike, is super passionate about hiking and getting out on local trails, as well as volunteering. The Appalachian Trail is a short distance away, and Lindgren has led hikes, cleaned graffiti from Hawk Rock, and promoted Duncannon as a Trail Town.

Some details:
Food: pickup window-service restaurant on site
Beverages: hand-crafted beer; wine, cocktails, soda
Parking: see map here for lots and on-street
Misc.: be sure to check out the unique building history

Bonus hike to Hawk Rock:
From 2-4ish, co-owner Mike Lindgren will lead interested hikers on an out-n-back hike (~2-mile, 700' elevation gain) to Hawk Rock, a fantastic vista nearby on the Appalachian Trail. Meet at the brewery at 1:45 pm; more info here.

#2: Friday, March 21, 2025, 5-9 pm
Olde Bedford Brewing
109 Railroad Street
Bedford, PA 15522 (Google maps link)

Come join us at this great brewery right next to an outfitter! Trail Care volunteers recognize this as an unwinding spot after a tough day working on the Mid State Trail in the Everett Region.

Some details:
Food: usually Jackie's Cheesy Food Truck
Beverages: TBD
Parking: free in parking lot
Misc: There is also live music.

#3: Friday, March 28, 2024, 4-9 pm
New Trail Brewing Co.
240 Arch Street, Building 18
Williamsport, PA 17701 (Google maps link)

New Trail has a long history of supporting outdoor recreation nonprofits and organizations. We welcome their support during this tabling event and look forward to future partnerships! From their website, "At New Trail Brewing we encourage our friends and neighbors to spend more quality time outdoors experiencing the natural environment around us. "

Some details:
Food: Soul Food City food truck- sampling of menu items here; light snacks inside
Beverages: hand-crafted beer; wine, cocktails, soda
Parking: free in parking lot
Misc: If heading south on Arch Street from RT 15/180/220, turn left at the Reach Road traffic light, and follow the New Trail signs along the sweeping left-hand curve. Well-behaved kids and leashed dogs allowed.
